Beloved
Tom Jones actor
Albert Finney has reportedly joined the cast of the latest film in the venerable James Bond franchise.
Skyfall is set to be directed by Sam Mendes, and already boasts the strongest cast of any Bond film yet, with stars
Daniel Craig, Dame Judi Dench, Ralph Fiennes and Academy-Award winning Spanish actor
Javier Bardem already signed on.
Bardem reportedly plays a villain in the movie, something he can do quite well, judging from his terrifying Oscar winning turn in
No Country for Old Men.
The 75-year-old
Finney is one of the entertainment industry's most celebrated and decorated stars, with multiple BAFTAs, Golden Globes and an Emmy Award to his credit, as well as many acclaimed performances on the Broadway and West End stage. He has been nominated for the coveted Academy Award five times, but has yet to take home the golden statuette.
The latest Bond marks the 23rd film in the popular series and the third film starring
Daniel Craig as Agent 007.
