People tuned in to see what outspoken comedian Ricky Gervais would say as the host of last night's Golden Globe Awards ceremony live from Hollywood, and they weren't disappointed!
The always spot-on actor did manage to drop the dreaded F-bomb, which is why the censors had asked for a seven second delay to bleep out any obscenities The Office creator might blurt out. It also appears that Gervais may have outed Silence of the Lambs actress Jodie Foster, with a double entendre laced joke regarding the flop film The Beaver, which she directed and co-starred her good friend, troubled actor Mel Gibson. He noted that while he had not "seen Jodie Foster's Beaver " he had "spoken to a lot of guys here, they haven't seen it either. That doesn't mean it's not any good."
Far from being shocked or upset about the joke, cameras panned to Foster, who was in the audience, as she smiled and gave Gervais two thumbs up, showing her approval. The Academy Award winning actress' sexuality has long been a source of rumor and gossip in Hollywood, but the superstar has never formally discussed her sexuality in public.
All in all, Gervais' hosting of the award ceremony is being considered a smash hit.
