Outer Limits: Foo Fighters Want to Record Next Album in Space

Multi-Grammy winning rock band The Foo Fighters have announced a rather lofty goal...to record their next album in Outer Space!

Lead singer Dave Grohl made the confession to MTV this week, saying he would like a completely original sound to the band's next recording and believes blasting off into outer space just might accomplish this goal. "We have an idea. It's kind of a really big idea. We're going to record it in space. To tape. An analogue moonshot," the outspoken singer has declared. The band's current hit album Wasting Light was recorded on analogue in the garage of Grohl's house.

There's a connection to space in the band's name: Foo Fighters was the secret code name given to Unidentified Flying Objects witnessed by the US military during World War II.

Dave might want to do us all a favor by taking his arch-nemesis Courtney Love (who was married to his former Nirvana band mate, the late Kurt Cobain) along for the ride and kicking her out into the depths of the cold and endless space...

Hard to believe, but international recording superstar Kylie Minogue will be celebrating 25 years in the music industry next year!

The Australian-born singer has come a long way from her days acting on the soap opera Neighbours and has gone on to become one of the biggest selling artists in history, with countless Number One songs and albums to her credit as well as a loyal and devoted following. She's also known to put on one Hell of a show, spellbinding audiences worldwide with some good old fashioned Hollywood-style razzle dazzle.

To celebrate her 25th year in the industry, Miss Aphrodite let it slip to the audience of a concert in London this past week that she is recording a new album of re-worked orchestral and acoustical versions of some of her biggest hits. Obviously, this won't be any ordinary greatest hits album, that simply won't do for our Kylie. She has been hard at work in the recording studio at Abbey Road in London, putting it all together as a love letter to her millions of adoring fans.

She has also (thankfully) found time for her personal life, and has been dating Spanish model Andrés Velencoso for the past several years. It's nice to see one of the hardest working women in show biz taking a bit of time to find much-deserved happiness.

Sad Sack: Taylor Swift Says New Album Will Be a Downer

Country music cutie Taylor Swift warns announces that her upcoming album will be full of "sad songs".
Asked to describe her latest tunes by The New Yorker, Taylor admitted, "They're sad, if I'm being honest," noting that one of the songs is "about moving on." The 21-year-old star has already had more than her fair share of living and moving on in the past few years, with high profile romances with notables such as Jake Gyllenhaal, John Mayer and Joe Jonas. Not to mention being dissed by Kanye West on live television in front of millions of people. Be careful, Taylor's current b/f... there might be a song about you on the radio in the future...
