Mazed & Confused: Family Lost in Corn Maze Call 911
A family hoping to enjoy the autumn splendor and have a bit of pre-Halloween fun ended up having quite the fright instead. The family became lost while visiting a corn maze at the Connor Farm in Danver, Massachusetts. As dusk began to fall, the couple, who were visiting the farm with their two children, a five-year-old and a three-week-old baby, began to panic that they would not be able to find their way out of the maze before the dark of night encompassed them! Armed with a cell phone, the panicked Mom called 911. Personally, I wouldn't have panicked until I saw a group of creepy children among the stalks of corn shouting "Outlander!" at me! You can hear the breathless call to 911 in the video below:

Signs of Intelligent Life? Incredible NASA Corn Mazes
If you thought crop circles only appeared in mysterious and foggy fields in England, you obviously haven't seen these incredible NASA corn maze patterns. Some geeks NASA employees teamed up with seven of the most popular agritourism farms in the country to come up with these inventive mazes as a tribute to the US's 50th anniversary of space exploration (never mind that the shuttle mission has been moth-balled). Each design pays homage to different achievements in the US space program. You can check out all of the cool designs over at theFW:
