Earth Changes Alert: Deadly Earthquake in Pakistan, New Island Emerges in Sea

Second Update: NASA has released some incredible  images of the new volcanic island that sprang forth from the sea off the coast of Pakistan after last week's powerful earthquake.  The new terrestrial formation has been given the name Zalzala Jazeera, or  "earthquake island" and can be seen from space.

Update: The official death toll now sits at 328, with thousands still missing. New reports coming from the region state that the new "island" actually measures 250 to 300 feet (76-91 meters) in length, and about 60 to 70 feet (18-21 meters) above the water. Local residents are now going out to the island to see the mysterious new land mass for themselves and taking photographs. Scientists on the scene have confirmed that methane gas is being emitted from cracks and fissures in the newly-formed island and have forbidden any members of their crew to strike a match or start a fire for fear of igniting an explosion.

Today's deadly 7.8 earthquake in Pakistan has taken at least 328 lives with thousands still unaccounted for in in the impoverished area of the Baluchistan province. Thousands of buildings have collapsed, with many people still trapped in the ruins of buildings and homes, as rescuers try desperately to free survivors.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake had a magnitude of 7.8 with an epicenter about 230 kilometers southwest of Dalbandin in Pakistan's Baluchistan province, which borders Afghanistan and Iran.

Now, there are reports coming out of the region of a new land mass that has emerged off the coast of Pakistan following the powerful temblor. Pakistani TV Geo News, citing Pakistan's deputy inspector general, is reporting that a 100-foot-wide island arose out of the Arabian Sea about 350 feet off the coast of Gwadar immediately after the earthquake struck at 4:29 p.m. local time (11:29 GMT).  Pakistani media is also broadcasting a photograph of this new island mass.

Needless to say, this is another instantly recognizable news item to those who have been following the Webbot Project and their predictions regarding the earth changes that are now manifesting across the planet. For years, the "New Land Rising" linguistic meme was an important part of the projects' ALTA runs, and was a pre-cursor to the "Global Coastal Event" disaster forecast that is predicted to affect most of humanity.  Follow this blog closely for any new information and important updates.

A tsunami has hit the South Pacific  nation of the Solomon Islands after a powerful earthquake measuring 8.0 on the Richter scale struck the nearby Santa Cruz Islands.

The quake struck early Tuesday at a very shallow depth of only five km (three miles) and was located 340 km (211 miles) east of Kira Kira in the Solomons, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Hawaii said. Initially, tsunami alerts and warnings were issued for a wide swathe of the South Pacific following the major temblor, with the countries of Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia also placed under the alert as a precautionary measure.

News sources from the Solomon's are stating that a tsunami measuring approximately .09 meters struck the island shortly after the earthquake occurred. The tsunami has devastated the town of Lata, where hundreds of homes were washed away. At present, five deaths have been reported, but many people are still listed as missing. Essential services such as water and electricity have been cut to the islands due to the earthquake and tsunami.

Officials with the government have stated that there is news of several ships with significant crews being swept out to sea by the destructive surge of the tsunami. Powerful aftershocks continue to be recorded following the earthquake, and areas of Lata township are still partially underwater as the surge waters have been slow to recede.

Today's catastrophe comes only six years after the devastating earthquake and tsunami combination that hit the region in 2007. The 8.1 earthquake triggered a significantly larger tsunami which measured at least ten feet. That event left 52 people dead and thousands of citizens homeless.

More Bad News for Haiti As Wyclef Jean's Charity Goes Bankrupt

More bad news arrived for the long-suffering people of Haiti after it was revealed that Hip Hop superstar Wyclef Jean's charitable organization to help the people of the island nation has crumbled beneath a mass of debt and alleged mismanagement.

The organization named  Yéle was originally founded by Jean, the former member of Grammy-Award winning Hip Hop group The Fugees, in 2003 as a way to help the people of his homeland. The organization did not receive much attention until after the devastating January 2010 earthquake that rocked the Haitian capital of Port-au-Prince, crippling the entire city and leaving an estimated 250,000 dead, with millions more left injured and/or homeless.

Jean claimed to have raised more than one million US dollars for the charity in only twenty-four hours after pleading for donations via his official Twitter and Facebook accounts following the horrific disaster. Now allegations have come to light that the charitable donations given to the organization were mismanaged, to the tune of almost $16 million US. 

In one alleged incident, it is claimed that money for the Yéle charity—a reported $30,000—was used to fly troubled actress Lindsay Lohan from New Jersey to a charity-raising event in Chicago. The event only raised some $66,000. Another claim is that Jean brought actor Matt Damon and a host of his other celebrity friends to Haiti via private jet at a cost of almost $70,000. 

Jean—who made an unsuccessful bid for the Haitian presidency in 2010—has remained tight-lipped about the closing of the charity as well as the allegations. He directed followers on his official Twitter feed to read his statement posted to his Facebook account. . 

All of this is indeed sad news for the people of Haiti, who continue to suffer in the wake of the catastrophic earthquake as well as the effects of hurricanes, tropical storms and outbreaks of diseases, such as cholera. Some 300,000 people still reside in what was initially designed as "temporary" housing on the outskirts of the city, tens of thousands of tents that have since been battered by the elements. Electricity and potable running water are extremely scarce.
