Courtney Has No Love for Brazilian Kurt Cobain Fan

Courtney Love screaming at fan during Brazilian concert
47-year-old rocker Courtney Love has none for fans of her deceased husband, Kurt Cobain.

The deeply troubled singer was performing at a concert in São Paulo, Brazil. when an attendee held up a photograph of former Nirvana lead singer Cobain. This infuriated the volatile rocker, who immediately stopped the concert to launch into a foul-mouthed rant against the poor fan.

"I don't need to see a picture of Kurt, and I'm going to have you f****** removed if you keep throwing that up," she railed, semi-coherently, which is always a real challenge for Love. "Im not Kurt - I have to live with his s***, his ghost and his kid every day," alluding to the daughter she had with Cobain, Frances Bean, with whom Love has an estranged relationship. (I can't imagine why, can you?) She then threatened violence against the concert-goer with, "Throwing that up is stupid and rude and I'll beat the f*** out of you if you do it again."

The singer and her band left the stage before a band mate told the audience that they would return if the crowd chanted "Dave Grohl is gay" (Grohl was a band mate of Cobain's in Nirvana and is the lead singer of The Foo Fighters and has been involved in a notorious feud with Love since the mid-90s.)

The cracked-out singer eventually did return to the stage to perform. She happily doffed her top for the final set, electing to perform with her breasts exposed to the leering cheering crowd.

Love, darling, you're almost 50! Maybe it's time you started acting like you are a grown up...

"I find being on-stage is always the best time to give myself a breast exam!"

Foot Firmly in Mouth: Teacher Disciplined for Forcing Students to Rub Her Feet

A South Carolina elementary school teacher has been disciplined...for selecting students to give her a good old fashioned foot rub!

School officials at the Batesburg-Leesville Primary School in Columbia, South Carolina, became aware of the situation when one of the students told her grandmother that she didn't want to give any more foot rubs to her teacher. The grandmother posted the information to her Facebook page and quickly discovered that at least six other students had been forced to give the teacher's aching dogs some tender loving care. Outraged, the grandmother contacted school officials, who launched an investigation into the alleged incidents. The teacher wore sandals or flip flops to school, students said, in order to give them easy access to her feet.

School officials say they have investigated the allegations against the teacher and have taken proper actions, without giving out any specifics. Next time you want a foot rub, go down to the salon and pay for a mani-pedi, teach...

She Needs a New Attitude: Patti LaBelle Accused of Screaming at Baby & Trying to Punch Mom

"Does this $5 million necklace make me look like a Diva?"
It looks like superstar R&B singer Patti LaBelle needs to heed the advice of her 80s hit song and find a "New Attitude"...

Apparently, the former Lady Marmalade has some anger management issues. It seems that LaBelle became irate at a mother's parenting skills at her Manhattan apartment building. The Queen Diva didn't appreciate the freedom mother Roseanna Monk was giving to her 18-month-old daughter Genevieve in the lobby of the swank Riverside Drive apartment building where LaBelle was living temporarily while starring in the Broadway show Fela! When Monk told her to mind her own business, LaBelle allegedly flew into a rage, screaming obscenities and throwing a bottle of water at the shocked Mom! When Monk told LaBelle that her actions were upsetting the baby, the singer tried to take a swing at the mother. The singer's entourage quickly intervened, ushering the Demonic Diva out of the building and into a limousine, leaving Monk to contend with her upset baby.

The Monk's almost let the incident pass until they heard of another temper tantrum involving Loco LaBelle that made the news. It seems LaBelle and her burly bodyguards got into a scuffle with a West Point cadet at the Houston airport when the singer thought the soldier was standing too close to her priceless luggage. Now, the Monks are suing Lady Marmalade for an undisclosed sum of money. "Violence seems to be a part of their road show," the Monk's lawyer said in a public statement.

Ghosts of the Gobi: Google Earth Photographs Strange Chinese Structures

Google Earth has released images of strange, mammoth structures in the Gobi desert of China that has the Internet community (as well as world governments) speculating just exactly what the superpower is up to!

The images show immense structures in the remote part of the desert where China carries out top secret military as well as nuclear testing. Some people have been overlaying the lines and grid patterns over maps of US cities, speculating that the nation is planning a surprise attack on the United States, Europe or Japan. When zoomed in, the carcasses of burned-up vehicles, planes and buildings can be seen in the disturbing images.

This is the second time in a number of days that the search giant has published photographs of Top Secret facilities. Last week it published pictures of Iranian facilities which the UN says may be used to develop nuclear weapons.

The satellite images were taken in October, 2010. Last year, startling images of the Chinese "Ghost Cities" were released. Massive, nearly-empty cities have been constructed throughout China, at a cost of trillions of dollars. A majority of these ghost cities, which could house millions of people, remain nearly empty of citizens, prompting wide-spread speculation about the stability of the Chinese economy. Added together with the images of the bizarre, Nazca-like lines and structures in the Gobi Desert, the mystery deepens. The images were released just as Chinese State run media released a scathing attack on US President Barack Obama, condemning his global economic and political policies.

Most dogs go completely bonkers when their owners return after being gone eight hours at work, let alone after long months of being away! The video just proves how deep and abiding the love between a dog and its owner is and that a dog is loyal and loving, no matter how much time they have to be separated from their owners! Accompanied by the perfect song ("You're My Best Friend" by Queen),  I dare you to watch the following video and not get all misty-eyed...

The Soap Killer: Katie Couric's New Chat-Fest Cleared for 80% of Country

Katie Couric's new talk show won't even debut until next fall, but it has already been cleared for 80% of the US television market!

The imaginatively titled Katie looks set to clear nearly 100% of the potential market by the time it makes its debut in 2012. ABC has already cleared two hours of daytime programming with the cancellation of two of its soap operas, the long-running All My Children and One Life to Live. The head of ABC daytime Brian Frons canceled both programs earlier in the year. All My Children left the airwaves this past September, with One Life to Live ending its forty-five-year run in January.

Rumors that the two soaps would be cancelled were rampant earlier in the year. Many insiders claim the shows were axed so that the ABC network would be able to afford Katie Couric's hefty asking price, which is estimated at over $30 million a season. With the cancellations, ABC has only one soap still on its roster, the California-based General Hospital. News came out last week that a last-ditch effort to save All My Children in an online format had fallen through, although One Life to Live is still expected to make the transition next year.

Katie Couric left as host of The CBS Evening News earlier this year after a five-year run.

White House Reporter: Chelsea Clinton To Report for NBC News

Television network NBC has announced that Chelsea Clinton has been hired to be a full-time special correspondent for their troubled news division.

The daughter of former US President Bill Clinton and current Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will start work "immediately" and will be reporting to work at the Peacock Network as early as today. She will begin work on stories that NBC expects to use as part of its “Making a Difference” series, which runs on its ratings-deprived NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams.

Chelsea. 31, came into public prominence as the young daughter of a popular president and spent her formative years in the White House.  Her parents were very protective of their only child and managed to keep her out of the limelight over the years, especially during the intense Clinton/Monica Lewinsky scandal during the late 90s.

In a prepared statement regarding the new appointment, Clinton said, “I hope telling stories through ‘Making a Difference’ — as in my academic work and nonprofit work — will help me to live my grandmother’s adage of ‘Life is not about what happens to you, but about what you do with what happens to you.’ ”

Not So Nifty at Fifty? Brad Pitt Plans to Retire From Acting in Three Years

Getty Images
The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttons actor Brad Pitt has announced plans to retire from acting in three years, when he reaches the Big 5-0.

The Fight Club star, 47, made the announcement in an interview with the Australian version of prime time news program 60 Minutes. When asked what he plans to do with his life after retiring from acting, he jokingly replied, "Hell if I know".

The talented star has received good notices for his most recent film Money Ball. The actor went on to state that "happiness is overrated and that being at peace is a more realistic aim".

The news came as Pitt and his wife Angelina Jolie traveled to Vietnam along with their brood of children to visit local religious and war sites. One of the super couple's adopted sons, Pax, was born in the South-east Asian country. Although an official itinerary of their visit was not made public, it is believed the couple would visit the orphanage where Pax lived for the first three years of his life.

Can't Get Her Out of Our Heads: Kylie Minogue Celebrates 25 Years of Music

Aww... sweet & innocent Kylie, circa 1988

Hard to believe, but international recording superstar Kylie Minogue will be celebrating 25 years in the music industry next year!

The Australian-born singer has come a long way from her days acting on the soap opera Neighbours and has gone on to become one of the biggest selling artists in history, with countless Number One songs and albums to her credit as well as a loyal and devoted following. She's also known to put on one Hell of a show, spellbinding audiences worldwide with some good old fashioned Hollywood-style razzle dazzle.

To celebrate her 25th year in the industry, Miss Aphrodite let it slip to the audience of a concert in London this past week that she is recording a new album of re-worked orchestral and acoustical versions of some of her biggest hits. Obviously, this won't be any ordinary greatest hits album, that simply won't do for our Kylie. She has been hard at work in the recording studio at Abbey Road in London, putting it all together as a love letter to her millions of adoring fans.

She has also (thankfully) found time for her personal life, and has been dating Spanish model Andrés Velencoso for the past several years. It's nice to see one of the hardest working women in show biz taking a bit of time to find much-deserved happiness.

Your legion of fans will be looking forward to the new album, Kylie...

Heart of Cake: Blondie's Debbie Harry Butchers Cake Double of Herself

Getty Images

Blondie lead singer Debbie Harry shocked attendees of an art gala by taking a large knife and butchering a nude replica of herself!

The 66-year-old stunner took to the stage at the Museum of Contemporary Art Gala in Los Angeles, carried by a throng of sexy, shirtless men, Cleopatra-style, as she sang her classic 70s disco hit "Heart of Glass". She was joined on stage by two, life-sized nude versions of herself. Dressed in a slinky red dress, Harry frightened guests by brandishing a large butcher knife, which she plunged directly into the heart of her doppelganger and pulled it out, much to the disgust of the crowd!

Turns out it was all just a bit of melodramatic theater art and the "body" was really just a huge, red velvet cake. Many of the guests didn't find anything "funny" or "artistic" about the carnage, with one anonymous insider reportedly saying, "This is appalling for women all over the world who suffer domestic violence."

The onstage antics were part of the show by controversial artist Marina Abramovic, who has received criticism in the past for her often violent works of art.

Pink for the Cause: Designer of Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Ribbon Dies of Cancer

The woman who co-designed the now-ubiquitous pink ribbon to promote breast cancer awareness has herself died of cancer.

75-year-old Evelyn Lauder died today at her Manhattan home of complications due to non-genetic ovarian cancer. Lauder co-designed the pink ribbon with the former editor of Self magazine, her good friend Alexandra Penney, in 1992. The ribbon quickly gained in popularity over the years and helped raise billions of dollars to search for a cure for the disease. The symbol was adopted by the Susan G. Komen Search for the Cure Foundation, and inspired similar, different colored ribbons to help raise awareness of other forms of the disease.

Mrs. Lauder was the daughter-in-law of the founder of cosmetics empire Estee Lauder. The money she raised helped fund the Evelyn H. Lauder Breast Center at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, which opened in 2009. Lauder was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2007, but continued to work tirelessly, both for the Estee Lauder Corporation and keeping up the search for a cancer cure.

Born in Vienna, Austria, she fled Nazi-occupied Europe with her parents during World War II. She met her husband Leonard, son of Estee Lauder, while attending Hunter College in New York. At the time, her mother-in-law's cosmetics company was a small, simple enterprise that would eventually grow into one of the most successful in the world. Evelyn came up with the name of the company's popular skin care line Clinique during the 1960s.

Leonard and Evelyn Lauder's son William is currently executive chairman of Estee Lauder. Another son, Gary, is managing director of Lauder Partners LLC, a technology investment firm.

The Dog Ate My Car Payment: Couple's Dog Woofs Down $1000 in Cash

The old standard "Blame it on the dog" rang true for one Florida couple, when their beloved pet gobbled up an envelope of cash containing $1000!

Christy and Joe Lawrenson of St. Agustine, Florida, initially believed that a burglar had broken into their home when the wad of cash went missing. When Joe went to investigate, he discovered pieces of shredded $100 bills strewn across his living room floor like confetti! What he didn't find shredded on the floor was now inside the stomach of the couple's 4-year-old Labrador Retriever/Bulldog mix, Tuity!

It seems the capricious canine got a little hungry while Mommy & Daddy were away and decided to make the cash a mid-day snack! The money, which was to be used for the couple's car payment, was now digesting inside the family dog, along with the envelope and a paper clip. A quick thinking Joe gave Tuity some peroxide to induce vomiting. For the next several hours, Joe and Christy went to task digging through dog vomit in order to piece together the shredded bills.

Ultimately, they were able to salvage $900 from the pooch's tummy. The final $100 bill had too many serial numbers missing to be re-assembled, which they have sent to the Department of the Treasury. The Lawrenson's then took the masticated money to the bank, where they shared their strange tale with the tellers!

This isn't the first time the dog has eaten something strange. "When she was a puppy, I once saw her eat a cigarette," Mr. Lawrenson told a local newspaper. Next time, put the money inside a safe deposit box, Joe!!!

You Can Write Like Rambo with New Sly Stallone Ink Pen!

Know someone who loves getting scared out of their minds while writing (or a member of the Hell's Angels)? Do we have the perfect gift for them...an ink pen designed by the Italian Stallion himself, Rambo star Sylvester Stallone.

The pen, named "Chaos",  is an exclusive design for prestigious European ink pen manufacturer Montegrappa. It features a lovely set of skulls entwined with serpents. The body of the pen is made of black pearlised celluloid with overlays in sterling silver or solid 18K gold and is available in a very limited edition.

The company claims Stallone used the works of 16th century painters and artists including Battista Franco, Albrecht Dürer, Hans Sebald Beham and Antonio Pollaiolo to "forge the image of Chaos and of death, entwined inexorably and eternally."

Okay, but the pen looks like something sold at "Hot Topic"...only it costs $5000!!!

Diego Luna is "The One That Got Away" from Katy Perry

Sexy Mexican actor Diego Luna appears in the just-released video for Katy Perry's latest single, "The One That Got Away".

The star of Y Tu Mama Tambien  is Katy's long-lost true love in the video to the song. In the video, Katy appears as an older version of herself, looking back on the time she spent with her true love. Unhappily married to a wealthy man, she reminisces about her fateful romance with a brooding, hot artist type, which Diego Luna fits perfectly. After a fight, the boyfriend is involved in a car accident and is killed. Dressed in a silver wig and aging make-up, Katy looks a bit like Lisa Kudrow during the dream sequence in Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion. ("I'm the Mary! I'm the Mary!") She returns to the scene of the tragic accident that claimed his life and is visited by his spirit.

Perry is looking to score her sixth Number One hit from her Teenage Dream album. She is the first female artist to have five Number One singles on the Billboard Hot 100 from the same album, and it looks like she is set to break her own record. You can watch the new video on YouTube below:

UN Nuclear Agency "Mystified" by Increasing Radiation Levels in Europe

The United Nations Nuclear Agency remains mystified by reports of increasing radiation levels being detected across Europe. The International Atomic Energy Agency, however, has assured the public that the increase is not coming from the stricken Fukushima nuclear plant that was severely damaged by the horrific March 11th earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan.

Elevated-but still relatively low- levels of radioactive iodine-131 were detected last week in samples taken from areas throughout Germany and the Czech Republic. Hungary, Slovakia, Austria and Sweden also reported low-level traces. The agency has stated that although higher than normal, the levels still remain at safe concentrations and do not at present pose any health risks to local populations or wildlife.

This week, NASA released thousands of images of the Tarantula Nebula, an area of space they believe is producing intense radiation and powerful winds, which some scientists feel could be the cause for the increased radiation levels detected in Earth's atmosphere.

Officials in Spain, Russia, Ukraine, Finland, France, Britain, Switzerland, Poland and Norway said they had not detected any abnormal radiation levels but would continue to monitor the situation.

In the weeks after the meltdown of the Fukushima nuclear plant in Japan, trace amounts of radioactive iodine-131 were detected over parts of the United States and Canada, as well as areas of Northern Europe, carried aloft by the jet stream.

A Prickly Situation: Cat Stuck on Cactus For Three Days

A cat got caught up in a very prickly situation after climbing to the top of a large Saguaro cactus and finding that it couldn't make its way back down again!

The feckless feline decided it wanted to explore the desert area around the Salt River in Arizona from high above, so it somehow managed to climb to the top of the enormous cactus, over twenty feet in the air. The cat discovered that what goes up doesn't always necessarily come down, at least not as easily. Passers-by were alerted by the loud cries of the trapped cat and a rescue effort was soon launched.

As local channel KXNV's news helicopter flew overhead to film a story on the cat, it finally decided it had had more than enough and can be seen scurrying down the cactus to escape all the brouhaha! Fear is always a great motivator!
