Expressing Herself: Madonna Does Mash-Up with Lady GaGa Tune

Superstar singer Madonna has never had any trouble expressing herself, and she's doing a bit of just that while preparing for the start of her new world tour.

In Tel Aviv, Israel, where her tour is set to open, the "Like a Virgin" chanteuse surprised onlookers with a mash-up of her 1980s feminist anthem "Express Yourself" with rival superstar Lady GaGa's hit "Born This Way".

While GaGa hasn't let it be secret that she's a huge fan of the former Material Girl, Madonna on the other hand hasn't exactly reciprocated the love, calling "Born This Way" reductive (definition: Tending to present a subject or problem in a simplified form, esp. one viewed as crude.) of her work. Ouch!

Madonna also penned an All About Eve inspired tune about a younger wannabe singer trying to ape the success of an older, more experienced star in the 2008 song "She's Not Me". Perhaps Madonna has decided to let bygones be bygones with the GaGa mash-up, as her latest album MDNA has been the biggest flop of her storied career.

Drawn This Way: Lady GaGa's Simpson Caricature Revealed

Pop superstar Lady Gaga has definitely reached the pinnacle of success as her likeness for an upcoming episode of The Simpsons has been revealed.

Gaga joins the ranks of such legendary performers as Michael Jackson, Bette Midler, Sting and Paul McCartney by being forever immortalized as a Simpson's character. Fox Television has released a teaser clip of the outrageous singer's performance on the episode, titled "Lisa Goes Ga-Ga".

In the clip, Lady Zsa-Zsa (as clueless Grandpa Simpson calls her) dons a flame-throwing bullet bra that would make rival Madonna envious and tempts Homer into yet more gluttony by wearing her famous meat dress from the MTV Video Music Awards. She gives Baby Maggie some fashion tips and will be certain to induce Bart into more mischief-making while teaching his sister Lisa a lesson on feminism and female empowerment as mother Marge groans her disapproval.

The "Born This Way" singer calls her animated experience one of the coolest things she has ever done.  The episode featuring Lady Gaga will premiere on May 20. You can watch the teaser trailer on YouTube below:

Marry (The Mayor): Lady GaGa Rings in 2012 Smooching NYC Mayor Bloomberg

"Yes, folks, this kiss IS a sign of the approaching Apocalypse..."

Lady GaGa rang in the year 2012 by putting a big wet one on the lips of New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg. (Yet another sign the Mayan End-time calendar for this year is correct!)

GaGa rocked out on Dick Clark's Rockin' New Years' Eve by performing a medley of her top hits over the past year, including "Born This Way" and "Marry the Night". The 25-year-old superstar also was given the unique honor of being the one to release the 12,000-pound Waterford crystal ball during the countdown to the Magic Hour. Dressed appropriately in a beaded crystal gown from Versace complete with one of her trademark masks and requisite long gloves, she looked as sparkling as Times Square itself, as she elected to plant a midnight smooch on 69-year-old billionaire Bloomberg. (Instead of her hunky, rumored boyfriend Taylor Kinney?) The unlikely duo even shared a cute, midnight dance.

GaGa certainly has reason to celebrate, as she was once again the top earning artist for the past year. Forbes magazine listed the avant-garde entertainer as the top earning artist of 2011, with earnings surpassing $100 million over the past twelve months.

Drawn This Way: Tony Bennett's Sketch of Lady GaGa to Sell for Top $$$

"I'm not bad. I'm just drawn this way. By Tony Bennett, no less..."

Lady GaGa might be quoting Jessica Rabbit's classic line in the cartoon Who Framed Roger Rabbit? "I'm not bad. I'm just drawn this way," after the legendary crooner Tony Bennett sketched a nude drawing of the superstar singer, which is now for sale on eBay!

The 85-year-old "I Left My Heart in San Francisco" singer is also a highly talented and successful artist as well as an avid art collector, with a collection worth millions of dollars. The unlikely duo met when Bennett filmed a cameo appearance on Lady GaGa's recent Thanksgiving Day special that aired on CBS. The two recorded a rendition of the standard "The Lady Is a Tramp", made popular by both Bennett and Frank Sinatra. GaGa (real name Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta), 25, spoke recently about posing in the nude for Bennett. "I walked in and said "Well Tony here we are," and I dropped my robe and I got into position. I felt shy and thought “It’s Tony Bennett, why am I naked?"

The starting bid for the original charcoal etching starts at $5000 on online auction site eBay. Also included in the package is a photograph taken by the famed fashion photographer Annie Leibovitz. All proceeds from the sale will go to Exploring the Arts, a nonprofit organization co-founded by Bennett and his wife Susan Benedetto, which strengthens the role of the arts in public high school education.  Money raised will also benefit Lady Gaga's youth support charity the Born This Way Foundation.

The auction closes on Monday, December 19.

Lady GaGa Channels Cousin It, Sasquatch & Bride of Frankenstein

Leave it to Lady GaGa to always have her lobster claws fingers on all the pop culture references in one handy photo opportunity. Obviously with Halloween firmly on her mind, she showed up in London this week dressed in her outrageous best. A loving fan offered her a wonderful, hand-drawn portrait of the GaGa as none other than the Bride of Frankenstein! Not one to miss a photo-op, she snatched the portrait and immediately started to strike a pose, channeling three Halloween pop culture favorites, Cousin It from The Addams Family, Sasquatch and the aforementioned Bride of Frankenstein. All of her Little Monsters... rejoice!!!
