Tweedle Dee Meets Dum: Ahmadinejad & Chavez Joke About Dropping A-Bomb on Washington

Chavez & Ahmadinejad merrily pose for the cameras.
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad met with Venezuela's president Hugo Chavez yesterday on the Iranian leader's whirlwind tour down the Rabbit Hole. Ahmadinejad lavished great praise upon the ailing Hugo Chavez, with Chavez reciprocating.

"Despite those arrogant people who do not wish us to be together, we will unite forever," Ahmadinejad spoke during a press conference with the Socialist leader of the oil-rich South American nation. The Iranian fruitcake leader was in Venezuela to seek support from rogue, off the charts nations in regards to its ambitious nuclear upstart program. The two leaders gave each other big bear hugs and even held hands for the cameras. (Awwww...a Love Story has obviously blossomed!)

Chavez, who recently blamed the United States for giving him cancer, also joked that there was a bomb beneath the steps of his lavish Miraflores palace in Caracas waiting for any US invasion. "Ahmadinejad and I are going into the Miraflores basement now to set our sights on Washington and launch cannons and missiles," he said, without the slightest hint of irony.

As well as Venezuela, Ahmadinejad plans to visit Nicaragua, Cuba and Ecuador - a visit that Washington has said shows its "desperation" for friends.
