The Bloggess received a not-so-fabulous pitch from the PR firm, which she promptly told them about. Instead of being all about Public Relations (as in the field they are in), someone from the firm sent out the following response (with the expletives censored):
"The PR woman didn't appreciate that, and responded accordingly — in a relatively civil tone — saying that they would stop contacting her. But her boss, VP and Media Director Jose Martinez, had something to say as well. "What a ****ing ****h!" he said in an email to his subordinate and Lawson.
"You should be flattered that you are even viewed relevant enough to be pitched at all instead of [sic] alienated PR firms and PR people – who are actually the livelihood of any journalists business."
Apparently, Blogging Mom does have some relevance...as well as 167,000 followers on twitter. Needless to say, the plucky blogger took to the social media like an angry hornet. With the aid of thousands of her followers, the PR firm got the message about how to go about actually doing PR in a hurry!
