Aerobic Barbarella: Jane Fonda Slips Back into Leotard & Tights at 73

"That's right... Grandma can still work a leotard!"

She's been an iconic sex symbol and political activist for almost fifty years and Oscar-winning actress Jane Fonda proves she still has the body that made her the Fitness Queen with an empire worth over $300 million!

At the age of 73, Fonda slipped back into a leotard and tights that earned the superstar a fortune back in the 1980s, when she released a highly-successful line of videotapes for her aerobics fitness regimen. Her series of videos sold over 18 million copies and is said to be the biggest selling home video of all time. The video age was just beginning, and it was a perfect time for the Barbarella star and daughter of Hollywood legend Henry Fonda to launch a new career as an aerobics instructor to millions of women around the world wanting to improve their looks and health.

The sexy grandmother appeared on NBC's Today program with Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb to promote her latest bestselling book, Prime Time: Love, Health, Sex, Fitness, Friendship, Spirit — Making the Most of all of Your Life. Fonda had initially retired from the fitness world in 1995, but made a return to the industry last year to release a fitness video for an older generation.

She has also made a return to the world of acting and will appear in two upcoming films, Peace, Love & Understanding, co-starring Elizabeth Olsen and Chace Crawford and Et si on vivait tous ensemble (And If We All Lived Together), her first French language feature film since the 1972 Jean-Luc Goddard drama Tout Va Bien.
