The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttons actor Brad Pitt has announced plans to retire from acting in three years, when he reaches the Big 5-0.

The Fight Club star, 47, made the announcement in an interview with the Australian version of prime time news program 60 Minutes. When asked what he plans to do with his life after retiring from acting, he jokingly replied, "Hell if I know".

The talented star has received good notices for his most recent film Money Ball. The actor went on to state that "happiness is overrated and that being at peace is a more realistic aim".

The news came as Pitt and his wife Angelina Jolie traveled to Vietnam along with their brood of children to visit local religious and war sites. One of the super couple's adopted sons, Pax, was born in the South-east Asian country. Although an official itinerary of their visit was not made public, it is believed the couple would visit the orphanage where Pax lived for the first three years of his life.
